Event Details

We are partnering again with Foster Love, a non-profit committed to transforming the lives of the over 400,000 foster youth in America. It’s normal for kids to be given a trash bag to put their things in when they enter the foster care system. Foster Love helps restore dignity to these kids by providing duffle bags to them instead.

Teams entered in this tournament will be able to fill/decorate duffle bags with comfort items and hygiene products that we will then give to Oregon DHS to hand out when a child enters the foster care system instead of trash bags.

Below are some important details about the duffle bag options.

🚨 Oregon USSSA will be donating 1 Teen Bag for each team to fill with items of their choosing. These bags come empty. It will be expected that your team brings your own items for this bag to the tournament, so please coordinate ahead of time!

🚨 Teams can choose to purchase more duffle bags that they can fill and donate!

🥳 Last year we were able to donate 73 bags! Our goal this year is 100!!! 🥳

There are two types of duffle bags:

#1 Teen Bags (for kids ages 11-18) – These bags are empty and provide your team an opportunity to fill it at the tournament how you like! You are welcome to purchase more Teen bags for $15 each at the same fundraising link that will be emailed out.

#2 Sweet Cases (for kids age 3-10) – Sweet Cases are $35 each and include stencils and fabric markers for decorating, as well as a teddy bear, coloring book, crayons, and a blanket for your athletes to add into the bag. You’re welcome to bring more items to the tournament to add if you’d like.

We will send out a link to donate in order to receive the bags at the tournament. We will have them available for you on Saturday September 26th for your team to fill during down time.
