The new cut off date is Sept 1, 2025 for the 2026 season. Meaning the age of the athlete on August 31st determines their age eligibility.

Athletes are welcome to play up, but can not play down. This means they need to register with their eligible age and play up, if they play to play on two different aged teams. For example, and athlete is age eligible for 14U, but wants to be able to play for their 16U team and play for a 14U. They must originally register with 14U team and then play up rather than register on the 16U team.

The new USSSA Fastpitch season (2026) starts August 12, 2025.
